Condolence: Truly heartbroken for V.A.'s loving family. As I look back on those crazy times at the Colorado Daily from 1969-1973, I am in wonderment of how this proper mature-aged woman actually thrived in an environment of foul-mouthed overgrown children. There is so much in the beautifully written Boulder Camera obituary I wish I knew about VA. She was certainly one of my favorite memories of the college experience. What a stunning example of a life well lived. RIP Virginia. Den Mother. Token Colorado Daily adult. You will always be remembered with much love.

Condolence: Sending love and deepest condolences to all who knew and loved V.A. As one of her Colorado Daily kids, there are no words to adequately express the impact she had on all of us - and we are all writers so you'd think we'd come up with something! But the lovely obituary in the Boukder Camera got it right. She was a calming, compassionate influence, who brought grace and a healthy dose of good humor to a chaotic time when we were a ragtag group of young idealists. She reminded us every day that there is good in this world.
