Obituary for Anna Louise Nutt

Anna Louise Nutt was born on October 18th, 1985 in Livonia, Michigan. Though she was born with physical and mental disabilities, Anna had a strong will, undeniable attitude, and big presence that she channeled into a joyful life.

Anna approached every day with bright eyes, a beaming smile, and an infectious laugh. When she wasn’t with her family, she spent time with her friends at Imagine!—a day program for adults with special needs—where she was nothing short of a celebrity among her caregivers and peers. She also loved (and was loved by) animals including her dogs Lucy, Stanlee, and Buffy, and her cat Clee.

Anna had a deep love and passion for the arts. She was a gifted artist who used her work as a way to give us a glimpse into her inner world. She also loved listening to music all day, every day—especially anything with heavy drums.

Anna passed away on February 19th, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones in Louisville, Colorado. She is survived by her mother Maureen, father Jeffrey, and brother Benjamin. Her memorial service will be held on February 25th, at Greenwood & Meyers Mortuary, 2020 2969 Baseline Rd, Boulder, CO 80303.

In honor of Anna, her family invites you to wear a colorful bandanna to the service if you wish. Bandanas were Anna‘s trademark, and she would’ve gotten a kick out of seeing everybody emulate her fashion sense.

In lieu of gifts, her family would appreciate donations made to Imagine!, who provided so many opportunities to Anna and her peers, located at 1400 Dixon Ave, Lafayette, CO 80026.
