Obituary for Scott Buennemeyer
On Sunday, February 16, 2020, D. Scott Buennemeyer, beloved husband, passed away suddenly at age 55 in Louisville, Colorado.
Scott was born on November 21, 1964 in Urbana, Illinois to Robert and Mary Lou (McVicker) Buennemeyer. On January 3, 1987, he married Valerie Noel Hyslop, the love of his life.
In 1989 and 1992, respectively, he received Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Scott had various Information Technology positions over the past 26 years. Scott was a dedicated engineer and he loved serving others to solve problems. He was always willing to generously help others when needed.
Scott had a passion for snowboarding. He loved playing billiards and building remote control planes. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind, gentle and compassionate spirit. He will be greatly missed by so many.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his mother, Mary Lou. He is survived by his wife Valerie, his brothers John (Nancy) Buennemeyer, and Todd (Michelle) Buennemeyer, and his sisters Diane Boesdorfer, and Debra (Robert) Jones, and nine nephews and six nieces.
At this time, there will be no service. Arrangements may be made in the future for a celebration of Scott’s life.
