Carolyn, Phil, and Philip,
Our hearts and deepest sympathy go to you. I remember seeing Cara on the summer swim team at the Elks, and of course, Cara was such a strong swimmer, even on pre-team. Over the years it was fun to see Cara have such success in the pool and become a more powerful swimmer. Her dedication to swimming in those years, to improving and to finish at the top was notable. She'd have that great smile in between races and then when it was time for her event, she would focus and her athleticism and hard work would shine. Cara was such a talented athlete in all of her sports. She was always kind to my girls and pushed them to be better athletes. It is such a loss for the community. We will keep you in our thoughts always.
Our deepest sympathies,
Fran and Kent Katnik
Morgan, Gracie, and Anna

Carolyn, Phil and Philip: It is with great sadness that we heard of Cara's passing. She grew up as the "little kid" on our block and then into a beautiful teenager. We are holding you in our hearts. - Diane and Andy Keyser

Cara you were so full of life and was a big part of our life during our years in Boulder. You were Viktor´s best friend and as a sister for Harald and Erik. You were the one who showed how it was a kid, a teenager in the US and supported Viktor and his brothers in many in different ways- how school works, after school activities, going to the movies, going to the pool….
You always had Viktor’s back and on the soccer field the two of you had solid partnership You took great care of Viktor, Harald and Erik and showed them what skiing was all about and challenged us all down the slopes of Vail. When it came to water slides, roller coaster you never hesitated and made the guys try them all.
We haven´t met such a talented athlete before or later. We saw you ski, play soccer, and swim, you were always fully focused to succeed but at the same time so humble.
We will miss you Cara yet so privileged that we got to meet you and know you during our years in Boulder. We are also grateful that we got to meet you again last summer when we returned to Boulder for reunion.

Dear Carolyn, Phil and Philip,

We are so terribly sorry to hear about Cara’s passing. We have so many fond memories of Cara and your entire family during out Crest View days and as a teammate of Conner’s on Mike and Tim’s YMCA teams. She was always selfless, gifted, and such a source of joy and light. Our hearts and thoughts are with you during this unfathomably difficult time.

With an abundance of love and support,

The Reagan Family
